EASTMORELAND GOLF CLUB

Roger Tooker called meeting to order at 7:30 pm.  Roger announce there would be no break before raffle tonight so get your tickets early.

Guests:  Alan Cohen welcomed LouAnn Spicuzza, she owns a 2008 Jet Stream blue coupe, she is a friend of the Ficcadentis.  Bill Chris with his 2002 Z06 and welcomed back Mike Walker and his 2004 Mag Red coupe.

New Members:  None

Upcoming Events: 

Go Kart Night:  Walt discussed the options for race times and costs.  Decided to hold meeting with attendees after general meeting to decide on which is best.

Tech Day:  April 10th, 10 am at JC Motors in Tualatin.  Randys goal is to pre-tech cars for auto crossing in an effort to make things a little smoother for racers on race day.  He will be turning the paperwork into NWACC on the 11th.  BBQ to follow.

Oil Change Day:  April 17th at Gary and Kathy Wests house.  Bring your own oil, filter and container to haul away your old oil.  BBQ to follow.

Astoria Seafood & Wine Festival:  April 24th-25th, Keith Livie chair.  Meet at Scappoose Fred Meyer at 8:30, leaving at 9:30.  Caravan to Astoria.  Rooms are being held at the Epp Tide in Seaside, rates being held til 3/24.

82nd Ave Parade:  April 24th, Jerry Weese chair.  W will be hauling the Rose Festival court.  Need 15 cars possibly 17.

Nancy’s Cruise-in:  May 1st, Ann Cohen organizing volunteers.  200+ cars have signed up.  Please sign up to volunteer.  Volunteers report at 6:00 am.  Sharon and Wayne will be getting married that day.

May Tour:  May 15th, Logues and Wests chairs.  Heading east to Maupin.  Meet at Lewis and Clark state park at 8:30 am, leaving at 9:00.  Lunch will be at the Imperial River Company on the Deschutes River.  Bring lawn chairs.  Buffet style lunch.  Will be holding a blind poker run.

Memorial Day Tour:  Reno run, May 28th-30th.  Flyers available, see Guido.

Presidents Mystery Tour:  September 10th-12th.  3 day event, only the president know where.  He has 20 rooms reserved for now, 20 have signed up.  Guaranteed beautiful, $240 per couple.

Old Business:  Wine Brunch – Baleys thanked all who attended, they hosted 54 members and one guest.  Rained a little bit but then the sun came out for us.  Lots of good eats and everyone took home a complimentary bottle of wine.  Special thanks to Jeanette, Herb and Carmen.

Food Bank – RCC donated $1200, Kathy shared a letter of thanks she received.

Corvette Museum:  Larry has 14 tix left for the $10 raffle to win a 2010 Torch Red Convertible.  Drawing is May 1st.  The $500 build your own raffle was held with less then 300 tickets sold.  Went to some guy in Maryland.  Check out the website for more raffles and hot new merchandise.  He showed us the newsletter and is hoping to get more support from RCC.  They will be selling acres at their new motor sports park, more info to follow.

Merchandise:  Jim Peterson has T-shirts and Hoodies on site, remember special orders are always welcomed.

New Business:  Jerry Weese told us that the Convertible club is in charge of getting cars for the Rose Festival and Starlight Parades.  A sign up sheet went around for you car info, they will call you if they need you.

Officer at Large:  Thank you Randy Free for donating a T-shirt for the raffle, and one prize has an extra gift hidden in it (gift card for Eastmoreland)

Ping Pong Ball:  Won by Larry Weber, $38

Remember –  next Board meeting will be April 7th at Eastmoreland.
