EASTMORELAND GOLF CLUB
President Roger Tooker called meeting to order at 7:30.
Guests:
Bob and Lisa Long joined us for
their second meeting. They
have a 99 Pewter Coupe. Cyd
Hawkins joined our new member Mike Walker for tonight’s meeting.
Steve and Alisha Patrick also visited us with their Red Coupe.
Welcome to all!!
New Members:
Roger welcomed Bill Crist and his Red ’02 Z06 and LouAnn Spicuzza and
her 08 Blue Coupe as our newest members.

Upcoming Events:
Linda Carpenter reminded everyone to check the “The Hire a Member List”
to make sure it is up to date.
-Nancy’s Cruise-In – 5/1 – Still time to get on the volunteer list.
Tim with Nancy’s invited everyone out, and extended Thank You’s
from Nancy and crew for RCC’s help putting on this event, she feels she
couldn’t do it without us.
Way to go guys! No help is
needed on Friday to move inventory but be there at 3:00 to fill goody
bags. 300 of em!
They will be setting up all the tents and doing all the staging
so they will need some guys to come out early to help with that – see
Alan. Guido will be cooking
his famous Chili for dinner.
Volunteers need to be there at 5:00 am Saturday morning.
Lot will open for workers who are pre-registered only at 5:30.
Be ready to meet with your volunteer chair at 6:00.
Registration numbers 100 and under will receive T-shirts.
Pre-registration will close at 11:00.
Ed Perry will be performing the wedding ceremony for Sharon and
Wayne. Rome is on picture
duty. Raffle starts at
10:00, all prizes must be claimed by 2:30.
You must be present to win the trip and $300 gift card.
Nancy’s profits will go to the Guide Dogs for the Blind.
RCC Food Booth profits will be tallied, and brought to members
for discussion and disbursement.
-May Tour – 5/15 Logues and Wests chairs.
Meet at Lewis and Clark Park exit 18 off I84 at 8:30, there will
be a drivers meeting and leaving at 9:00.
Bring your own coffee, water, juice and donuts will be provided.
Bring chairs for lounging by the river in Maupin.
There will be a blind poker run on the way, bring cash!!
Payment for lunch will be made individually at the venue.
$15 per person plus gratuity.
There will be parking set aside for us.
-Golf Tournament – 6/13 – Flyers available.
Coed tourney, get signed up ladies! 9:00 am tee-off at 10:00.
$25 per person includes your ride.
-Spring Tour – 6/19 – Rosenlofs chair, details to follow.
-Memorial Day Tour – 5/28-5/31 – Vicky and Guido chairs.
Peppermill is full, over flow will be housed at a Hotel close.
Leave at 5:30 in Wilsonville, meet at 5:00 am.
Maps & activities list will be handed out.
-Presidents Mystery Tour – 9/10-9/12 – Roger Tooker chair.
$240 per couple.
Includes two nights and one dinner.
Roger explained to the new members, this tour is a Mystery, no
one knows where we are going except the President, just pay up and trust
him!
Past Events:
Kieth Livie filled us in on The Astoria Seafood and Wine Festival.
9 cars went Saturday morning.
4 more joined them after the 82nd Ave Parade.
No problems, sommth sailing all had a great time.
-82nd Ave Parade – Jerry Weese thanked all the participants.
Got lucky with no rain.
Jerry hauled the President of the Rose Festival Association.
He let us know that the Association is looking for cars to use in
the Starlight Parade and the Rose Parade.
All of you who signed up on the sheet check your phone messages.
Glassfacts:
Tim Sakakibara announced he is
retiring from the Glassfacts effective immediately.
Club is seeking a replacement.
Windi Peterson and LouAnn Spicuzza volunteered to pick it up.
Tim will help with the transition.
NWACC:
Randy Free announced the first
race of the season is 5/16 in Shelton.
See Randy for pre-registration.
Merchandise:
Jim Peterson reminded all that there is inventory in stock and
special orders are always available.
Old Business:
Gary West covered Oil Change Day.
He thanked the Huttons, Fannings and Logues and of course his
wife Kathy for all their help.
30 people showed for a savings of about $500 worth of oil changes
for the group.
New Business:
John Moist announced in order to keep club correspondences safe he will
not forward e-mails unless they come directly from a club member.
So if you want him to forward something for you please make sure
that you know who they are coming from.
Ann Cohen needs an Audio/Visual person for the Power Point presentation
at the Classic. Please see
her if you are interested or if you know someone who is Power Point
savvy!
Officer at Large:
Neal Sommerset held the raffle.
Ping Pong Ball:
$24 won by Tim Elliott
Corrections:
In the minutes for 4/14/10 it states that Gary West is the chair
for the Golf Tournament, that is incorrect, Neal Sommerset is the chair
for June 13th’s tournament.
Sorry for the error Neal.
