RCC General Meeting
5/26/2010

EASTMORELAND GOLF CLUB

President Roger Tooker called meeting to order at 7:32 pm.

Guests: Alan Cohen welcomed Jason Fox, he drives an ’09 Torch Red Coupe.

New Members: Sharon welcomed Bob Sovey and his ’03 Burgundy Red Convertible.

Past Events: Gwin Logue talked about the Maupin Tour.  They had 30 cars, 29 members and 1 guest.  Fantastic!! Only one minor break down, Steve Thomas needed a jump but the Logue’s kids got him back on the road quickly. Blind poker was a success and lots of fun. Handed out $200 in prize monies to the first, second and third place winners.  She thanked Gary and Kathy West for co-chairing.  This was the Logues’ first event as chair and said it wasn’t so bad putting an event together, everyone’s help was much appreciated.

-Julie Ralston covered the highlights of the 1st Autocross of the season.  Roger broke her car which put a little damper on the day (only a computer cliché thank goodness).  The top time was 48.3, sadly not an RCC member tho.  She spoke about how much fun Autocrossing is and encouraged everyone to try it.  Roger shared that he was invited to drive the fastest car of the day, Chad’s highly modified Z06, a real thrill for him.  Vicky had fun on a ride along with Chad too!  New member Bill Crist thanked everyone for their help on his first Autocross experience, he learned a lot and had a lot of fun.
