Past
Events:
NWACC
Banquet: Gwin Logue-The
NWACC banquet was a huge success. Gwin especially thanked her two
friends (Jennifer Mortensen and Anna Weese)
for taking care of the baskets
and raffle prizes. She reported that the food was great and plentiful.
Better attendance this year than
ever.
Treasurer: Linda Connor’s did not give her report as she is waiting for
the Audit to be completed.
Linda did remind members to pay dues by January 1st and any
new member information please turn in new forms to her.

newsletters.
Merchandise report: $ 25.00
for the hoodies
Newsletter: Not one picture
of the Casino night. Wendi
Peterson is requesting pictures for all events.
New
Business: Audit Committee
needs more help to complete the audit of the general and classic
account. No one offered.
So it appears that the audit will be completed by Anna Weese and
Bonnie Weisedorfer.
Rave
Raahahn reported on the Policy Committee meeting- They will be looking
at all the motions that are past and compare to the existing by-laws to
see if there are any differences from 2005 to current date.
Then the committee will bring
the new policies to the board for approval.
Afterwards, the potential changes will go through the RCC by law
amendment process for the changes to the board to review. The Board may
tweak the policy changes stuff and then come to the membership for a
vote. There may not be a lot of motions. The committee hopes to be done
in February. Everyone gets to look at proposed changes and make any
suggested changes and then the committee goes through the process again
until finalized.
Website: Roger asked if
anyone within the club has a burning desire to complete the webmaster
job if not John will continue.
We will put this out on the email to look for volunteers from our
members since we did not get any takers within the meeting.
Janet will take over the liaison job from Linda Carpenter.
Raffle prizes: We are a
little in the hole $700-800 for last year.
Not sure if it is the presentation of the items but people not
buying so many tickets.
Susan Duhrkoop suggested if people would like to know what the raffle
prizes are instead of letting people chose once their number is drawn.
Paul Cap suggested we do the raffle during the meeting.
Ed suggested we have things quality worthwhile items to buy
raffle tickets. Carmen
Mortensen gave many suggestions that worked when they were the Officer
at Large and they made money.
He suggested buying items at the car shows or a store like GI
Joes, instead of MidAmerica.
Mortensen’s purchased robes and had the robes embroidered with RCC logo
and that sparks the attention of the people to the raffle.
Mike Mermelstein suggested the raffle buckets for each item
available so that people will put their tickets in the items they want.
NWACC
report- Vicki McCoy stated that the meeting was held at the Holiday Inn.
Vicky announced that the new NWACC president was our own RCC
member Randy Free. RCC was
well represented. The NWACC
Treasury spent $2400.00 more this year.
The total treasury is down to $5,000.
Next year s Auto cross events: there
are five dates confirmed; May 15, June, then two other clubs with auto
crossing and then RCC’s.
There are six proposed changes to the driving rules.
One rule change proposed for Auto Cross being given more points
as there are too many ties.
At the Feb.12th meeting they will ask NWACC club
representatives, Vicky will need to find out about the other changes.
Did not discuss any of the Show and Shine dates.
All of the dates will be firmed up at the February NWACC meeting.
Good
of the Corvette Club: Roger
read a statement- “All of us recognize that when you have a group of
people such as ours and as big as ours, that we will not always see eye
to eye. There are
personality conflicts that take part and other such things.
No one can legislate that we all get along. In any club, there
are bound to be cliques and so on.
We cannot expect everyone to be drinking buddies and great chums.
However, that being said, there is no reason for everyone not be
courteous to each other.
When someone is recognized for something, and is given a round of
applause for it, it is rude for others to sit on hands and not be
courteous. It makes you look
bad, and also makes the club look bad.
It is time to let such behavior to the past and move on”.
Per
Alan, Anne came home at 10 pm last night. She still has a long way to
go. She is almost like she
is intensive care. Before
you call or come over, give her a few days to figure out her routines,
dialysis, a lot of doctor appointments.
She is on the right track to recovery.
Buy/Sell: Nothing to report
Officer at Large: Held the
raffle.
Ping
Pong Ball: $21.00 to John
Moist.
Meeting Adjourned at 8:15.
