Old Business/Unfinished business: Roger
read a statement in response to the Bowling Emails posted lately. “With
many organizations there will always be people who are willing to step
and do whatever it takes to run an event and make it successful.
There are always those that are content to sit back and
participate but not necessarily take part in the planning or getting the
event staged. This is fine
also. That is just the way
clubs and organizations operate.
With any group of people, there is always a certain core of
people willing to step up and “do their duty”.
That being said, we must caution those who are quick to
criticize. I suppose there
is always more than one way to accomplish an event, but that does not
mean that one way is better than another.
When you criticize you may not know all the facts surrounding the
coordination of an event.
Therefore, you must be cautious about what you say about an event or
quick to criticize someone who leads an activity.
You could make yourself look very foolish.
It’s always better to keep your mouth shut, as a wiseman would,
than to open it and prove to everyone what a fool you are!”
·
Jim Peterson announced
