RCC General Meeting

EASTMORELAND GOLF CLUB
President Roger Tooker
called the meeting to order at 7:30 and welcomed everyone to the
meeting.
The Secretary stated that
all meeting minutes had been posted and all Board members were present
and accounted for.

Vice President Report-Janet Sakakibara commented on the following
upcoming events:
Summer Fun Good for your Corvette event-July 24th Connors are hosting at JC Motors. There will be a BBQ and raffle. Starts at 10 a.m. on July 24th. Everyone wanted to do the White Elephant so bring an unwanted corvette item in a brown paper bag. Bring a dish to share. Connors will provide the main dish.
August 6th
Parade for Chautauqua Parade. Guido reminds everyone to bring lots
of candy. Meet at 10am
at Gladstone HS.
August 13th
Chili Cook Off at Ed and BJ Perry.
More information to come.
August 20th
Newberg Drive In night hosted by Walt and Dea Shively. Meet at
Safeway in Sherwood at 5pm.
Bring a potluck dish.
Raffle prizes and Movies to watch.
President’s Mystery Tour
Sept. 9th – 11th. The event will be $300.00.
Tonight is the last night to
pay a deposit of $75.00 in order to go on the event.
Past Events:
Ms. Oregon Contest in
Seaside and the BBQ at Steve and Patty Gette’s. There was no
shortage of sun at the beach and no shortage of tasty food at the
Gette’s. Thanks again to hosting the 13th BBQ.
Chuck Spittle thanked many ladies that put the banners on the
cars in addition to Vicky and others helping with the paddles and
getting the cars in order. The
Ms. Oregon Corvette winners were new members Cindy and Scott Isbell
carrying Ms. Tri Valley for second runner up.
Ron and Linda Carpenter were carrying Ms. Marion-Polk County
(1st runner up) who won $56.00.
Gary Scholl won $110.00 of the pot carrying Ms. Linn Benton
County who won Ms. Oregon.
NWACC event was at 3
Rivers Mall in Kelso. There was an accident but luckily the driver,
nor anyone else was hurt and that was very fortunate as he drove
into a building.
Robin Forrer announced
that she and Bill went to the Southern Oregon Corvette Event in
Grantspass, Oregon with 144 cars present.
The club ran the event for the Candlelight Foundation and
raised $10,300 for the charity. She stated it was an awesome event
and RCC members should consider going next year.
Merchandise report:
Dave announced that he has hats
and t-shirts for sell and are mostly displayed on the coat rack with the
usual selection of items to choose from. RCC different color glass
stickers for your Corvette the cost is $5.00 apiece.
Since the Inventory there are
all sorts of patches now available at various prices.

Old Business/Unfinished Business:
Update on
the Inventory per Linda Connors is completed and will be sent to all
members through the email.
Linda
stated that the membership plaque is not updated.
Need to discuss what to do for the past that are not on the
plaque and should be and the upcoming members.
Anna
announced that a memo was sent out to the membership regarding the $4K
that will be on deposit with the Red Lion by year end due to the Classic
cancellation. Several
members submitted ideas so she will create a ballot to vote on at the
next meeting. The ballot
will also be sent out in an email to be able to vote on the matter if
they can’t be present to vote at the next meeting.
Jerry
announced about Ron and Linda Beymer winning Best in Show at the
McMinnville Turkey Rama and how hard that is to do for a Corvette
against all of the other type of cars that show at the events. Also,
brought up that the Forest Grove Concourse de Elegance is happening on
July 17th.
Tickets are around $20.00 for entrance.
New Business:
Need a new volunteer for going through the other Corvette newsletters to
let RCC members know of other events as Ron Beymer is no longer
available to do this.

also has the graphics for a 2003 pace car.
Pat Connor’s is selling a
few cars. – 1957 Vette -$80K; 1969 Vette- $35K; 92’ Vette for $10K
and 26’ Model T for $10K, all original.

new glass hard top for $900.00
Mr. Gerke has a Tom Tom
navigation with blue tooth connection to your phone and all the
software.
Dave Raahahn has a set of
unused custom floor mats and cargo mat for a C6 that has a grey or
black interior, $200.00 or best offer.
Good of the Corvette-
A member announced that the Parfitt’s bought a new Corvette and it was
at Ms. Oregon.
Raffle was held.
Ping Pong Ball:
Winner for June 22nd meeting was Roger Tooker $21.00
and tonight’s winner was $18.00 Brian Dion.
Motion was made to adjourn
the meeting, motion was second and the meeting was adjourned at 8:34.
