EASTMORELAND GOLF CLUB

President Roger Tooker called meeting to order at 7:30 pm. 

Guests:  Alan welcomed Warren and Brenda Collier and their ’94 Green Coupe.

Treasurer:  No new members to welcome this week.  Sharon gave July’s report.

Past Events:  Chuck Spittal reviewed the Miss Oregon Event.  Thanked the following:  Ann Cohen for collecting the money.  Kathleen, Kathy, Char and Joyce for their help with the banners.  Laura for lining up the cars.  And Vicky, the paddle lady, great system.  87 people at the BBQ, 29 cars convoyed down, 37 total showed up for event.  3rd place - Miss Emerald Valley, driven by the West’s.  2nd place – Miss Tri-Valley, driven by the Shively’s.  1st place – Miss Multnomah County, driven by Jeanette Cross.  Jeanette was asked if she would like to drive her again next year and she accepted.  

Upcoming Events:  Linda Carpenter passed out sheets for: Members services

-St Helens Elks – 7/24/10 – car show flyer

-Classic – 7/30/10-8/2/10 – volunteer sheet

-Chatauqua Parade – 8/7/10 – Gladstone High at 9:00.  Bring Candy

-Chili Cook-off – 8/14/10 – Perry’s chair – Mark down if you are bringing chili or a side dish.  Bring New boxers for Boxer Bingo.

Drive-in Movie Night – 8/21/10 – Shively’s chair - $8 adults, $4 kids 6-11, Solo $12 per car.  Meet at Sherwood Safeway.  Bring a dish.

-Corvette night at Keizer Stadium for the Volcanos Baseball game.  Flyers available, possible caravan down.

-Presidents Mystery Tour – 9/10-9/12 - 20 people signed up, 22 rooms available.  Last meeting to pay is 8/11/10

-Classic – Ann went over instructions and schedules for each day’s events.  Volunteer assignments were handed out.  Sunday road tour is full.  Chuck asked for track helpers for Autocross.

Roger asked everyone to start thinking about Officer Nominations.  That time of year is approaching fast.  All Offices are open for nominations, new Treasurer is needed.

Glassfacts:   June’s newsletter is in the works, Windi asked for Bow-Tie event stuff.

NWACC:   Next Autocross is 7/18/10 in Shelton.

Museum:  Larry announced that it is now 4 women in a row who have their raffles.  Reminded members to use the link on our website to access the museum.  The corvette store has a new artist to check out.  Showcased the magazine and Updates for museum members.

Roger announced the Calendar chairs for the 2011 calendar will be Linda Carpenter and Sharon Rosenlof.

Merchandise:  Jim Peterson updated us on inventory and pricing. 

Good of Corvette:  Sharon Rosenlof announce that Mike and Kathy Weeks are moving to Southern California and a get together to say good-bye will be held on 7/24 from 4-7 at McCools Pub & Grill on 122nd and Sunnyside Rd.

BSST:  Alan Cohen has rear tires for sale see him for details.   

Officer at Large:  Neal Sommerset held the raffle.

Ping Pong Ball:   $32 won by The Carpenter’s
