EASTMORELAND GOLF CLUB

President Roger Tooker called meeting to order at 7:32 pm. 

Guests:  Alan Cohen introduced Dave and Linda Boelens and their ’07 Red Convertible,  Brian and Susan Dion and their ’65 Nassau Blue Coupe, Doug ?? and his 98 Pewter Roadster, and Bob and Iryna Lagler with their White ’94 ZR1.

New Members:    Bob Alan, White ’75 Convertible and Mike Marmelstein, 2010 Grandsport.

Past Events:  Classic:  Ann updated receipts, looking good but not all in yet. Expressed her thanks to everyone.  Handed out Classic Letter.  Covered the details of the Show and Shine, problems, attendance etc.  Covered banquet details and thanked Kathy, Pat, Jay Dennis, Kaydi and Jeanette for their parts in the event.   Shared the news that the Maloufs (couple from Colorado) car was vandalized Saturday Night resulting in them missing the road tour.  Shared a thank you letter from Clark and Adenia Seely.  Gave an over view of Autocross and Track Day.  Reminded everyone of the participation from other clubs and asked members to return the favor.  Alan Cohen Passed out some Autocross trophies and congratulated all the winners.  Roger Tooker shared a story about the Veggie Hotdogs at Autocross.  

Upcoming Events:  Linda Carpenter covered upcoming events and handed out info on:

-Hire a Member

-Chili Cookoff – 8/14 – Perrys chair – 2pm, bring Chilli or a Side Dish, New Boxer for Bingo.

-Drive-in Movie Night – 8/21 – Shivelys chair – Meet @ Sherwood Safeway @ 4:30, potluck, $8

-Volcanos Baseball – 9/4

-Presidents Mystery Tour – 9/10-9/12 – Tookers chair – 3 spots left, $260 includes 2 nights and 1 dinner.  Must pay tonight. No pets. Meeting @ Starbucks 122nd and Airport Way 7:15am.

-Lunch/Wine Tasting – 9/18 – Sakakibaras chair – Tour to Carlton

-Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival – 9/25 – Nick Trujillo will coordinate if interest.

-Apple Tour – 10/2 – Clarks chair – not connected with Festival in Hood River this year.  Meeting at Tollgate Inn and heading over Mt. Hood. Flyer to follow.

-Food Bank Night – 10/21 – details to follow

-Halloween Casino Night – details to follow

-Christmas Party – 12/10 – Weeses chair – Red Lion Convention Center, $69 rooms, details to follow

Noted Shelton Autocross on Sunday

Roger announced the upcoming nominations for Officers.  Three vacancies to fill for sure.  Please think about it, nominations will be held 9/8 and 9/22, election held 10/27.

Glassfacts:  Jim Peterson let members know that the Newsletter would be out soon, Windi and LouAnn absent.

Merchandise:   Jim Peterson covered merchandise options for members, prices and availability

Old Business:   Guido thanked everyone who participated in the Chatauqua Parade.

New Business:  Jerry Weese volunteered to coordinate the homecoming list.  John Moist is retiring as Membership Committee Chair and we need someone to fill that spot.

Saturday car shows at Ron Tonkin Chevy and Rock around the Block in Gresham.

Karen Hutton recognized Ann and Alan Cohen and their wonderful job as chairs of the Classic.

Officer at Large:  Neal Sommerset held the raffle.

Ping Pong Ball:   $25 won by The Cohens
