NWACC Report:
Proposed NWACC changes coming at the end of the year. Jerry asked when
the proposed role changes meeting was and Vicki responded that it is
held prior to the NWACC banquet. Members
club dues going up to $9.00 per person.
If you belong to two NWACC Corvette clubs it will only be half
($4.50) at both clubs. Please let Linda Connors know if you are members
at two clubs so she pays the correct amount to NWACC. The NWACC Dinner
scheduled on November 5th at the Red Lion in Longview,
Washington. What does NWACC
do for us asked Sue Duhrkoop?
It gives us insurance for the group activities responded Vicki.
It covers parades and events over three days. They get us a decent price
for third party insurance according to, Jeff Bowden, past President of
NWACC; he then explained the insurance and what it covers to the
members. Linda Connors stated that we pay $75 for annual fees.
Then we pay $9.00 per member and $4.50 for split NWACC
membership. Last year the
fee was approximately $1500.

Mike
stated that the Corvette museum is selling bricks from the building that
built the 1953 Corvette (3 for 25.00).
Many raffle drawings coming up anywhere from $100 per ticket for
a grand Sport to $500 a ticket for a ZR1. He has brochures how to be a
member, tours, buying bricks and purchasing Collector Insurance.
Old Business/Unfinished Business
: none
New Business:
Janet Sakakibara stated that at the last board
meeting the board was told by President
Tooker that they cannot put non sanctioned Corvette event
pictures as members had told Roger that they were offended by this.
Janet apologized to the membership as Tim’s intent was not to offend
anyone. It is Tim’s personal Photobucket account.
A lively discussion ensued. The
reason that we don’t have the pictures on the RCC Photo gallery is that
we were having issues with the web site server.
A member said if you don’t want to see the pictures then don’t
click on the button. Jeff
Bowden suggested a disclaimer be put on the website that these are not
RCC photos. Linda Carpenter
and Anna Weese both stated that we were thankful that someone is willing
to take the pictures of any Corvette sanctioned or not sanctioned event
and then post it timely so the rest could see them.
There was a huge round of applause each time by the members for
Tim and Janet’s photo contribution to the club.
