Jim Peterson, acting President called the meeting to order at 7:32 and welcomed everyone to the meeting.

 

 

Guests:  Jim McDevitt has a yellow 2005 C5 and David Holliday has 2005 green convertible.

 

New Members: none

 

Linda Connors discussed the Nick Trujillo as the 2010 classic big award. 

 

Dave Raahahn made a motion to move for a vote and Bowden second it.  To pay out the $600.00 to Nick Trujillo.

Discussion was held. Walt stated that he would talk to the Cohen’s and determine if the $600.00 was appropriate.   Motion made by Walt to amend the motion and table the original and second by John Moist. Vote was 14 yes and three no’s.

 

Vice President Report-Janet Sakakibara commented on the following upcoming events:

·         October 15th, Apple Tour - Jim and Wendi Petersons and Jeanette Cross hosting.  Meet at 8:30 at the Lewis and Clark Park then go to the Harvest Festival for a couple of hours and the apple farms.  Then going to the Icehouse at 12th and main in Oregon City for lunch.

·         Nov 5th NWACC Banquet. Red Lion in Longview, Washington.  

·         Christmas Party Dec. 3rd. Starting a sign-up sheet now to see how many may want to attend. $40.00 Plated dinner.  More to come

·         Homecoming Events - Heritage HS Sept 30th in Vancouver Washington at 4:30 needs 5 vehicles.

Beaverton HS requesting7 corvettes on October 7th, want drivers to dress as Monsters or Tuxedos’

Gresham needs 7 vehicles at 7pm October 21st

 

Past Event Reporting:

·         Drive In Movie Night September 17, 2011. Hosts- Shively’s- Bring a Dish to share. Many raffle prizes and two movies to watch.  Meet at Safeway in Sherwood at 5pm.  Two rounds of prizes.  Jim Peterson the M & M drawing and Shively’s son, Jason won the Skittles drawing.  A little raid but all went well.

·         9/18/11 NWACC Auto Cross in Shelton.

 

Merchandise report:  Dave presented everything he has for sell.

 

Member Profile:  Sharon Rosenlof not present.

 

Newsletter:  Jim reported that the newsletter is out.  

 

NWACC Report: Vicki stated Nov. 5th banquet.  Any changes in the rules will be presented at that meeting at 3pm prior to the banquet.  Proposed changes will be voted on at the Feb 2012 meeting.

 

National Corvette Museum: Mike not here.

 

Old Business/Unfinished Business: none

 

New Business: Jim announced that the club needs a new volunteer for the Sunshine Lady.  Ron asked for a member to volunteer and BJ Perry offered to do the position.

 

John stated that someone is sending him a list of all car shows in the PNW and wondered if the members were interested in seeing it.  Everyone wanted to get a copy of it.

 

John also stated that you do not have to be a NCM member to buy raffle tickets.

 

Nominations:

President:   Walt Shively was nominated in the first meeting and he accepted. No other nominations in 2nd meeting. 

Vice President: Jeff Bowden nominated by John Moist and he accepted.  No other nominations.

Treasurer:  Walt nominated John Moist who accepted.

Officer at large:  Dee Shively nominated and accepted the nominations in the first meeting. No other nominations during this meeting.

Secretary:  No nominations in the first meeting.  Walt nominated Vicki McCoy during this meeting and she accepted.

 

Anna stated that since we have only one person nominated for each position there will be no vote in October and our Nominations stand as is.  Our new Board beginning in November 2011 is

President: Walt Shively

Vice President: Jeff Bowden

Treasurer: John Moist

Officer at Large: Dea Shively

Secretary: Vicki McCoy

 

Buy Sell Swap Trade:

Ø  Pat Connor’s is selling a few cars. – 1969 Vette- $35K; 92’ Vette for $10K and 26’ Model T for $10K, all original.

Ø  Gordy Peterson has a C5 new glass hard top for $900.00

Ø  Mr. Mazik has a Tom Tom navigation with blue tooth connection to your phone and all the software. $60.00

Ø  Dave Raahahn has a set of unused custom floor mats and cargo mat for a C6 that has a grey or black interior, $200.00 or best offer.    

Ø  C5 yellow hard top for $200.00 or less for sell by Guido

Ø  Dave R. has a trunk cover for $20.00

Ø  Mud flaps for a C-5 by Al Clark selling for $35.00.

Ø  Linda has a flyer that a 2008 Corvette Convertible 4900 miles sell for $42K.  Call Matt 503-926-4634.
