President Roger Tooker called meeting to order at 7:30 pm. 

Guests:  Alan Cohen welcomed Ed and Kristen Solarez with their ‘85 Bronze Two-tone Coupe and Keith Austins nephew Vince Jordan, no corvette yet.

Treasurer;  Sharon Rosenlof gave the treasurers report.

Sunshine Lady:  Mary Helen Parfit shared the sad news that Jean Thomas had passed away after her very brave battle with brain cancer.  Our sincere condolences go out to Steve and their family.  Service details are to follow.

Past Events: Tim Sakakibara turned 50, thanked everyone, it was a good party.

Upcoming Events:  Linda Carpenter covered upcoming events, passed out info on:

-Wine Trip to Carlton – 9/18 – Sakakibaras chair – Free lunch, meet at the Monarch by 10:15 leave at 10:30.  Request was presented to the membership to recognize this as a new club event and funds of $100 were asked for.  Alan Cohen made a motion to vote, Mary Helen Parfit seconded, vote was taken and motion was approved.

-Food Bank – 10/21 – Kathy West Chair - 5:45ish, details to follow.

-Apple Tour – 10/2 – Clarks chair – Rome Hortaleza covered details.  Not coinciding with Harvest Festival in Hood River this year.  Meeting at 8:00 at Suburban Chevrolet leaving at 9:00 to Orchards.  $10 for lunch, please pay in advance.  Flyers are available.

-Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival – 9/25 – details to follow

-Christmas Party – 12/10 – Weeses chair – Red Lion Convention Center’s Windows Winter Wonderland room, 6:00-11:00ish, $35 per person, Buffet Dinner.  Rooms are $69 plus tax, dress is yet to be determined.

-Presidents Mystery Tour – 9/10-9/12 – Roger Tooker went over the instructions for the upcoming event, remember to start with a full tank.

New Business:  Jerry Weese sent around a signup sheet for homecomings.
